You’ll need just two knives and a couple of colors to create this folk art fox. He’s fun for Fall decorating or as a toy.<\/p>\n

INSTRUCTIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Band saw the wood for the\u00a0body.<\/strong>\u00a0Sand the bottom smooth.<\/p>\n

Incise the leg lines on the\u00a0sides and on the front.<\/strong>\u00a0Use either a\u00a0knife or a V-tool.<\/p>\n

Chamfer the edges of the body.<\/strong>\u00a0Use\u00a0a knife. Lightly texture the\u00a0surfaces with a 1″ (25mm) #2 gouge.<\/p>\n

Cut to separate the ears.<\/strong> Shape the head and face.<\/p>\n

Cut out the ear holes.<\/strong> Use a\u00a0three-side chip cut.<\/p>\n

Shape and texture the tail.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Drill for a 3<\/span>\u204416<\/span>” (5mm)-diameter dowel.<\/strong>\u00a0Glue the tail to the body. Fill the dowel\u00a0hole in the tail. When dry, smooth\u00a0to match the tail surface.<\/p>\n

Seal, paint, and finish.<\/strong><\/p>\n
